Setting up your Bod Books in UOBod

You can assign a Bod Book (or other container ) to each individual Bod. It will help you to find the Bod in game. To do so, your Bod Books or containers must first be defined.

From the main menu chose Edit/Books ... or use the "Book Setup" icon .

In the window that comes up please enter your books or containers one by one using   multiple times and terminating the process by using . (1)

lets you change the selected Book's name.

will break the link for all Bods within the marked book, leaving them unassigned to any container or book. The Book itself stays intact as an empty Book.

will delete the selected book and leave the Bods therein unassigned.

The names for the books and containers are stored in the database itself - so don't forget to save it.

If you want to quit this dialog without changing anything just close the window.

When you open a database file (*.bod) that you received from someone else, you will see the  container assignment including the names that this other person established as well as the "for Sale" status and the prices. If you receive a list of Bods as a text file and import it into your own database, however, you will not see the actual names of the Bod Books as set up by the creator of that file, but numbers instead. Rename them to something else if you like. (See Chapter Import/Export for details on how text files are exchanged)

1. Tip: If you choose the names of the books so that each one starts with a different letter it will make assigning your Bods to Bod Books or containers later very easy as you can jump to the right one immediately with one key (speed typing).

If you cannot avoid identical initial letters press the letter multiple times when assigning Bod books and containers to Bods.
