Creating a Database

When you first run the program it automatically creates and opens an empty database named UOBod1.BOD.This is a binary file that can be used to exchange information between users.

Starting with the current Version of UOBod, there will always be a file with the extension of ".BCP" (BodCopy). It is a fully qualified UOBod database that contains a backup of your data that was overwritten by your last save.

Before you do anything else you should edit your contact information into this new database. It will later help you when you are comparing your collection to those of other users.

Please go to Edit/General Information in the main menu and enter some info into the appropriate fields.

Now use File/Save As ... and save your database with a name of your choice like <MyChar.BOD>.

If you need more than one database, use the "New Database" Icon and store each one with a different name.

Having done so go to Edit/Options/Miscellaneous and find and check Automatic open. It will make the current database your default one that will be opened every time you start UOBod. (Registry entry).
