If you are just starting with collecting Bods entering the few you already have may be an acceptable option.

Open UOBod and open UO simultaneously.

Being in UOBod you may want to mark Edit / Window on top so you will always see UOBod's window on top of all others. Then using the lower right corner of the window diminish its size to still have a good view on UO's game window.

Now find your Bods inside your Bod books or wherever you keep them in game and enter their data into UOBod by using CTRL-S for SBods and CTRL-L for LBods marking all the necessary categories.

In the bottom row of this window the three buttons will be "Ok", "Cancel" and "Apply" (for users of an English or US Windows version). "Apply" is useful for entering several Bods, as it will enter the Bod into the database but not close the window.

This is also the preferred way of entering your new Bods as you get them from the NPC vendors. The procedure is setup in a way that will hardly allow any mistakes. From time to time you should save your database (CTRL-ALT-S) but you will be prompted to do so in any case should you try to leave the program without saving. A "mod" in the lower right corner of the database window will alert you to the fact that your database has been modified and needs to be saved.

Note: Some of the Bod's properties like For Sale, Price, Content and Bod Books are not usually entered in this way. That makes sense as you most likely will decide about these later and not at the time when you receive the Bod.

As for the lower part of the window, you can probably take a good guess immediately - but this is explained  elsewhere in this manual :)
