Help Rev: February 20, 2004 for UOBod Version 3.50.20 US English Version About UOBodWhat is it?UOBod is a program for BOD collectors in the online game Ultima Online (UO) that can greatly help with organizing your collection.. It creates and manages databases containing all information about the BODs you have collected and so gives you an overview and lets you make specific queries. The program is designed to give you maximum information any time, and to maintain your collection with minimal effort. It will alert you to matching Bods that can be combined (all matches that UO allows), can create lists of your missing SBods and suggest LBods that you could use. You can enter prices, keep track of the locations and Bod-books where a Bod is physically stored in game, see to what extent LBods or SBods are filled already, and see when you have received a specific Bod. You can select a group of Bods and do some uniform actions with all of them. Finally you can print lists of the Bods you have , and a lot more ... There is an import feature via UOAssist™ and an export to web-based databases as well as a text based selective import and export. And last but not least there is a cross analysis of multiple loaded databases so that you can easily find out which Bods to trade with other collectors. All this and more is done in a relatively small, compact and fast stand-alone program, that usually can be run while in game without causing lag. The databases created are extremely small and can be easily uploaded, downloaded and exchanged by email or file transfer.
Things you might want to knowLike most useful utility programs for UO this one is created by a UO player. UOBod is Copyright Rolsim. Rolsim plays the Drachenfels Shard. UOBod is Freeware and is constantly being improved.. Suggestions are always welcome! The program and documentation both come "as is". Use at your own risk! In no way does UOBod interact with the UO client or the data send to and from the servers. This documentation has been written by me, Astuur from the Europa Shard - so it's not done by the program's author. However, this documentation has been proofread by Rolsim and is published by his consent. It represents an attempt to show consideration and thankfulness for Rolsim's work by trying to take some workload off his shoulders. Apart from doing this writing and the english localization for this program, I have made a few suggestions as well and done some testing. This is an attempt to document the current state of UOBod's development and to help those wanting to use the program to get started more easily. It may be far too long-winded for many, but I wrote it with less experienced users in mind that may need such a program and documentation more urgently than those who could in fact write their own solution. All the same, the program itself can be a great help for any Bod collector, though many may not need much help. UOBods Home page is www.uobod.de . You will always find the current release for download there. You can contact Rolsim by EMail ( Rolsim@UOBod.de ) (German language, only, please). English speaking users are kindly requested to contact Astuur ( Astuur@UOBod.de ) rather than Rolsim with suggestion, questions and comments. Translator's note: I am not a native English speaker and though I have tried my best there may be all sorts of linguistic, semantic and orthographic flaws in here. If you can help to improve it, please let me know! So - Welcome .. and have fun! The first step to a quick start is to create a new database |
