UOBods Main Window The screenshot above shows you UOBod's program window in the form that you will see most of the time. There is only one database loaded (usually your own), so the database window is maximized; The toolbars are all docked to the window's top. The status bar is visible at the bottom. As you know, UOBod is capable of handling multiple databases at the same time and analyzing possible matches across all of them. In such a situation you may want a different view, possibly like the one shown below Here are the parts that make up UOBod's main window: Main Caption Bar: (here: UOBod - Astuur1.bod) You will always see the current database here. All changes, saves and other actions you take are affecting the current database only - however, the Filter Setting window affects them all. Note that the Checkmode is also a program wide setting (all loaded databases) Main Menu Bar (File, Edit, View, Report, Window, ?) All of UOBod's menus and submenus. Database Window Each loaded database has its own. The database window has two panes that work in conjunction. On the left side you can determine the section or subsection of Bods you want to browse, and the right side will then display these Bods together with more information. The Statusbar setting (View menu) is "per database window" whereas the Toolbar and the Filter Settings window are common for all databases. Filter Settings You can open the Filter Settings Window by pressing F3 or from the Toolbar ( Toolbars: There are 3 Toolbars. The Main Toolbar, the Toolbar for mass actions (on all listed Bods) and another Toolbar for Checkmode. Use them as a shortcuts to commands that will always affect the highlighted database. (as shown in the caption line of the main window) There is one exception, however. Entering Checkmode will do so for all databases. Statusbars There are in fact two different Status Bars. The bottom line of the main window is one, and each database window can also have one. This latter status bar is used to display additional information in some circumstances. When you are browsing your SBods and get a marker in the Match column in the right window for an SBod, highlighting this SBod will show you in the Statusbar into witch of your LBods the current SBod will fit. Also the rightmost field will show you the total amount of Bods in the currently selected sub-section. If you have made modifications to any one of your loaded databases that are not yet saved to the file, you will see a "mod" sign (for "modified" ) appear in the main windows Statusbar, whenever the corresponding database has the focus. Double clicking these letters will save the file. The rightmost field in the main window's status bar shows the version of UOBod you are currently using.
